Mickaboo & 'Coo Holiday Party 2011
Wow! The Mickaboo & 'Coo annual Holiday Party and Silent Auction was held at The Eagles Hall in Livermore on Saturday and it was quite an event!
Thanks to a whole lot of very generous support and participation from a great many of you, MickaCoo raised $2,056 from the Silent Auction! And we still have a number of really wonderful items available which we are planning to make available via online auctions if we can inspire an eBay-savvy volunteer to help us! (Email me at AdoptKings at gmail dot com to help!)
This very successful auction would not have been possible without many hours of help from Margie Gear (coordinator for the combined 'Boo & Coo event), tremendous support (and many miles) from 'Coo's auction coordinator Marsha Bassett and the cool-under-pressure banking talents of event cashier (and Costume Contest winner) Cheryl "Pay the Pigeon" Dickinson!

And, thanks to an incredibly generous $500 matching grant offered to party goers by Dr. Sanders and the Wildwood Veterinary Hospital, an additional $1110 was raised and 4 more donors were won in the critical GlobalGiving challenge. (We're about half way to our goal with 26 days remaining.)
Thank you SO much to everybody for supporting MickaCoo Pigeon & Dove Rescue so generously. Your help makes all the difference for these sweet, innocent birds that would otherwise face euthanasia as the "solution" to their plight. Here are photo albums from the event.
