Dupree

Dupree is a feral pigeon that was injured by a dog when he was just a baby and his nest fell to the ground. He was saved by Pali Boucher, founder of Rocket Dog Rescue, who took him in when MickaCoo Pigeon & Dove Rescue was too full to take him.

Dupree lost about half of his left wing to the dog that found him and so can't fly and is unreleasable. Pali has cared for Dupree for months and now he is growing up and looking for a mate and so MickaCoo has taken him in to foster care. Pali brought him to the Rocket Dog Adoption Event at the Stonestown Pet Food Express which she also invited MickaCoo too.

I'm working on introducing him to a lonely and blind feral pigeon hen named Lucky. Dupree isn't quite sure what to make of her unseeing responses and is missing his lady, Pali. It's only been one day and he's courting Lucky a bit and also chasing her away a bit.

Tonight, despite having access to bath water all day, he decided he would soak in the cold water of the pij tub as the sun set at 5:30. Silly bird.
