Pink
Pink, not only dyed pink but named after one of my favorite (smart, tough, successful) performers- Alecia Moore, didn't survive despite the strong name mojo and extensive treatment for illness.
She was one of the 35 baby king pigeons picked up by Animal Control Officers at Lake Merced on 6/22 and brought into the shelter. When I went to SFACC the next day to do a wellness check on them, she was, surprisingly, the only one that showed any symptoms of illness.
I didn't have the bandwidth to take on another sick pigeon but I didn't have anybody else who had the bandwidth either and I couldn't just leave her so I brought home with me.
Unfortunately, this sweet baby died two days later.
