Takla
On 4/4, I received this message:
Hi there,
I found a young domestic pigeon, maybe some kind of roller? He is a big boy (or girl?) not a baby but maybe a teenager of sorts. He seems healthy and can fly, but is skittish. I saw on your website you are full... I can transport him somewhere but don't know where to take him. Can you help?
Thanks,
Jen

On 4/12, I met Jen and her children at Andy's (100% Rescue) Pet Shop in SJ to receive the lovely bird she named "Takla" (which is the kind of Turkish Tumbler pigeons her husband keeps).
Takla is a beautifully marked and very high-spirited young king cross (I believe). She (?) spent the first couple of days at my house indoors though she is no fan of people. She rapidly put on 80 grams.
Takla has graduated outside to the big bird aviary and is doing well. She's approximately two and a half months old and would appreciate an aviary home.
To adopt Takla or others of the more than 100 lovely birds MickaCoo has in foster care, please complete this online adoption application.
And, if you can't adopt but support the work that MickaCoo is doing to save birds like Takla from being killed as "surplus" in Bay Area animal shelters, please make a tax-deductible donation. We need your support to save these innocents. Thank you!
