Jazzy
Picked up as a stray in the 1700 block of Newhall and brought in to the SF ACC on 4/25/09. Named and cared for by staff and volunteers until I brought home him as a foster on 5/7. Jazzy's a big bird and the first king I've had with feathering down his legs and a couple between his toes. He tends to strike a Foghorn Leghorn pose that also makes him easy to spot. I had a very full loft in advance of shipping eight birds to an adopter in Wisconsin and so he spent the first week here indoors, in my downstairs room, with the other fresh-out-of-the-shelter birds. He and everybody else was pretty happy to get out into the loft. He seems to be courting Tum Tum, a tiny white pigeon that may be a homer (she's definitely not a king).
