Louie
Louie is an injured baby feral pij that Pali, founder of RocketDog Rescue, saved and brought over (along with two of her volunteers) to me to pass along to a fellow rescuer who rehabs and releases ferals. We banded Louie to keep an eye on his tameness level while in the rehab aviary with all the other fledglings. If too tame, he'll be unreleasable. If he is releasable, the band on his leg will help him more than hinder him. When people see a banded pigeon, they treat it better than a naked one, in my experience.
At last report from the rehabber, Louie was doing well, acting wild and fattening up on a special diet in preparation to be released. If you find a blue bar feral wearing a blue band with #18 on it, that's Louie.
