Sparkle
Sparkle is a very lucky king pigeon who was found, injured and standing in the rain, by a kind-hearted woman, Jennifer, who took her in. Jennifer found me and I went over to do a welfare check on Sparkle and provide some King Pigeon 101.
Jennifer and her family kept and cared for Sparkle for five months. In August of 2010, she joined MickaCoo and was soon married to Peppermint.
They are both big, hearty king pigeons and they have a very happy marriage. (Peppermint's previous mate, a MickaCoogar named Dee Dee Detroit, was too frail to keep up with this young stud. Dee Dee has congestive heart failure but, despite that, is living very happily in our Old Lady Pigeons' Retirement Home.)
Sparkle has two different color eyes (one gold and one dark brown) and she lays the biggest pigeon eggs I have ever seen.
Sparkle and Peppermint are available for adoption at www.MickaCoo.org

Hi, I love reading your pigeon stories, and God bless you for giving these feather pups a second chance at life. I'm wondering if you've tried giving CoQ10 or better yet, ubiquinol to your pidgies with congestive heart failure. I've had good luck with it reviving tired old ducks. I tried it after reading about successes with it in the poultry industry for birds with CHF.
