Gale
Gale is one of a couple special needs birds that I brought home from the Lucky Dog Pet Shop rescue of 216 Iranian High Flyers. He appears to have had a jaw injury that healed incorrectly leaving him with a severely crossed beak. Concerned about his condition and ability to self-feed, I took him to the vet on our way home.
Gale had been living in the shed pictured above with 30 chickens and over 50 pigeons. He has to twist his head a certain way to eat and he'll need routine beak trims and does best when fed from a deep dish but he as far as he's concerned, his disability is no big deal. He's available for adoption.
If you're interested in adopting Gale or any of the other 304 rescued pigeons & doves we have in foster care, please complete our online application.
