Squeak
Squeak is an incredibly cute little king pigeon baby found as a stray (near the Alemany Flea Market in SF) that a nice lady named Julie and her husband took in and cared for for several weeks.

Julie tried diligently to find adorable Squeak a home and she and her husband even drove across the Bay Bridge during that rush hour rain storm/monsoon a couple weeks back to pick up a bigger loaner cage from MickaCoo for Squeak but they are no longer able to care for her. Squeak's need for a new foster home coincided with a GI illness and so Julie took her to the Bay Area Bird Hospital for care.
Squeak is socialized and adorable and available for adoption as soon as she's finished being treated symptomatically for an upset tummy (donations needed).
12/4/09 UPDATE
Squeak made a quick and uneventful recovery and charmed her foster mom to no end along the way. Though she had the opportunity to hang out with fellow foster pigeon Peppermint, she preferred the company of people and would blithely fly away from Peppermint's attentions to join Sherri where ever she was. Once, while being hand fed a treat, she decided it would be more expedient to just get into the food storage container (somehow) and eat directly from there. Another time, she decided to give herself a bath in the family's soaking lasagne pan (very brazen for a runaway squab). Squeak is a very beautiful and high spirited little king.

When foster mom Sherri and her family went on vacation, Squeak and her wanna-be friend and fellow foster Peppermint came to stay in my loft.
Squeak made the adjustment from indoor-pampered-pet to roughing-it-on-her-own-in-the-big-coop-outdoors look easy and, as you can see in the pictures, everything she does, she does with style.
Squeak is the tamest, most social king pigeon we've had. She is available for adoption and is going to make a lucky somebody a very special pet. Contact me at AdoptKings@gmail.com if you think you can show this pij a good time forever.
