Ellie
Ellie, named for the street she was found on- Ellsworth- came to me and MickaCoo from Pali, Founder of RocketDog Rescue via this e-mail-
Hi. It's Pali from Rocket Dog Rescue. I came home late last night and found a beautiful king pigeon sitting amongst swirling garbage on the side of the road. I took her home, made her a house in a small dog crate (cozy) gave her quality dove & quail food and water and a bed of alfalfa hay. Do you have any desire/ability to help with this sweet little thing? I also have a teenage street pigeon that had an injured foot...
Pali and a couple of her volunteers brought Ellie and Louie (the feral pigeon) over after a long day promoting dog adoptions at the San Francisco Pride Celebration & Parade.
Ellie was about 5 weeks old when she arrived at my coop and full of sassy-ness. She's done well and is thriving. She (? still too young to know for sure) is beautiful, all white and on the petite side for a king. Not tiny but unlikely to be one of the really big ones. In the pictures below, she can be seen between small homer Blanco and good-size king youngster Freckles.
She is available for adoption. Please contact me at AdoptKings@gmail.com for more info and/or to adopt her and her friends. They're lovely birds and they need homes.
