Holiday

Holiday is an adult king pigeon (cross?) hen (?) that ended up in SF ACC as a stray on 8/6 and who I brought home to foster on 8/14.

She had a visible canker nodule under her tongue, was very pale (I'd bet her red count is low) and arrived at my house very thin- weighing only 384 grams when her normal weight would be about 600. She's been treated for canker, is on a week-long course of Furaltadone & Ronidazole (Foy's 4 in 1) for coccidosis and e coli, is getting some supplemental feeding. She's one of many indoor, special needs fosters I'm currently caring for, is strong and doing well and as of yesterday, weighed 427.

Holiday has two-different colored eyes - one dark like a king and the other pearl. She's the second rescued pigeon I've met that does though the other, Sparkle, has one dark and one yellow eye.

Holiday will be available for adoption once she has fully recovered.
