The MickaCoo Report

It's the time of year to look back at what has been accomplished and to look forward to what lies ahead.

With the help of many, MickaCoo Pigeon & Dove Rescue (powered 100% by volunteer effort and donations) has, so far in 2010, saved the lives of 90 Bay Area pigeons and doves who had been abandoned and were facing euthanasia but instead were adopted as companions into loving and committed forever homes.

Baby king pigeons like Butters who got to grow up and who became magnificent and the mate of Holiday.

Lost fancy pigeons like this little Old German Owl pigeon I named Feets because his were so impossibly small and cute.

Racing pigeons who, despite their best efforts, got lost or injured on their way home during a race and were either unreturnable or unwanted, like Penny & Slim (who found romance while in foster care and were adopted together).

And, filling their spots faster than we can keep up with, are many more innocent birds right behind them. MickaCoo currently has 76 foster pigeons and doves in need of adopters.

Big beautiful characters like king pigeons Peppermint and Sparkle.

And adorable little tricksters like rollers Derby & Rascal.

And sweet special needs birds like flightless homers Sunny & Joey

And adorable and oh so easy to love and care for doves like Sammy & Cassie.

Please- help us to continue to be able to save these birds who, without adopters, don't stand a chance.

And donate if you can. Every penny goes towards the vet bills of birds that are sick or injured.
