Pierre UPDATE 4/30/10
Sorry for the delayed update. Pierre had his appointment on Thursday, accompanied by his faithful companion, Piper, and got his hobble off.
His leg, unfortunately, his splaying back out though. He's going back tomorrow. Dr. Speer needs to assess if it is a muscle memory/tendons tightened kind of issue that can be addressed through further hobbling or if it is a complication in the healing/surgery site.
Pierre's leg doesn't have to be perfect but he needs the sole of that little foot facing down rather than back so that it can bear weight and hopefully allow him walk and to perch.
Dr. Speer feels there are potential solutions so stay tuned. Pierre's not giving up and neither are we.
