Pierre UPDATE 4/27/10
Pierre continues to do very well, I think. He isn't bearing a lot of weight on his right leg yet but it looks to be in the right position and it looks to me to be healing VERY quickly. He's regrowing a lot of feathers already and the discoloration and swelling are almost gone. I'm hopeful that all this external healing is being mirrored internally and that his little femur is knitting itself together post haste.
I'll be taking him back to Dr. Speer on Thursday for a recheck and will post again after that. Dr. Speer has been pleased with what he's seen in pictures so I'm hopeful that Pierre really is doing well.
Right now, he and his faithful friend Piper (she's in the dish) are hanging out on the back porch and enjoying the sunny/windy/sprinkly spring weather.

Oh, kisses for Pierre and for Piper too! Thank you so much for the update on his little leg.
So glad he's doing well! Too bad I won't get to see you guys on Thursday, I can't wait to see Pierre's progress!
