August 2009 Rescue Updates
8/21/09 Update
Aaack! I went to SFACC to borrow a kennel so that Winter could have a bigger home in which to recuperate and they are SWAMPED! I was only going to take PICTURES of the birds but came home with three baby king pigeons. Two are not feeling great and are in my kitchen counter hospital. The third is fit and hearty and is out in the TOO CROWDED loft. What is wrong with me?!
SFACC also has 18 adorable budgies, a very sweet cockatiel, a lemondrop of a love bird, a dequacked Muscovy duck, 2 quail, a chukar and a few bazillion rabbits, cats and dogs. Please- don't EVER buy a pet! Adopt!
Tonight I'm taking Rocky and Kizzie to a photo shoot with French photographer and artist Anne-Lise Large as part of a project she's working on.
And newlyweds Zoe & Dovee have laid their first egg.
