There's Good MickaCoo News Too!

I know I've been posting all kinds of dire and dramatic news (funny how I was panicked when we were overfull with 92 and now we're working on finding forever homes for 353!) but there's actually lots of wonderful news going on as well and so I wanted to quickly share some of that with y'all.

*Dupree the flightless feral is being fostered-to-adopt

*A family in Santa Cruz is adopting 6 doves (rather than buying as originally planned)

*Four king pigeons have been adopted and are going to their forever home in Phoenix tonight

*Doves Pierre & Lucia and Magic & Daisy are being fostered to adopt (as a flock of four)

*A family in Fairfax is building a great mini aviary and will be adopting four kings

*Special homers Joey & Sunny will be fostered

*SF/SPCA will be fostering a flock of pigeons (and publicizing and educating about pij & doves & MickaCoo!)

*New fosters are coming online for two pigeons

*A rescuer in NM will be adopting eight kings

*We're getting inquiries about the rescued Iranian High Flyers

*MickaCoo volunteers did a welfare check on 31 kings rescued in Milpitas yesterday and they're in relatively good shape and many are beautifully colorful

*and there's more too!

So don't despair. There are LOTS of amazing people who are willing and able to help (and do so with great compassion and integrity). We just have to keep asking and reaching out... (hint hint- wineries and farm sanctuaries and retreats and missions!)
